My 11 year old comet appears to have some slight edema and raised scales, only visible from overhead. I recently added a small plant to the tank, and I think this might have introduced some disease....

Hi Tater, Sounds like you are doing everything right. Keeping the water clean is most important. I would suggest you go to koko's goldfish world and ask on their forum as this one is no longer active.
